Here are some steps to help you prepare for your building project...
With many customers deciding to renovate for a host of reasons. Here are some ways to help you clarify what you need.
1. What do you want to achieve?
The first thing to ask yourself is what you want to achieve. Is it a case of needing more space, or to make better use of an existing space? Perhaps you are planning to put your property on the market and want to make it more saleable with a lucrative makeover?
To help in your decision, consider these key questions.
Knowing what your goals are helps us to plan with you to achieve your desired outcome, well within your budget and timeframes.
2. What is your deadline?
Is your renovation timeframe being determined by factors outside your control? An example of this could be a new baby on the way forcing you to require another bedroom or separate living space with only months to the due date.
3. What is your budget?
This is particularly relevant if you are upgrading your property for sale. You may want to consider how long you plan to stay. Could this be your dream home? If you have ideas about how you would like to renovate your property, it is a very good idea to seek a couple of appraisals from reputable Real Estate Agents. Always ask an expert because they will be able to provide you with an estimate of what your property is worth as is, and also what a smart renovation may add to it, taking into account other important data such as the current value of comparable properties in your area and how the market is performing. This will also give you the basis of a budget for your project. We can provide early stage estimates to help with this decision.
